Visiting an old friend

We had a lazy start to the morning and after breakfast we headed to Brackley. We went to visit Alastair Gibson at his studio where he makes the most amazing carbon fibre art. He has combined his Formula 1 knowledge and love for art and creates mostly sealife sculptures. You can take a look here: http://carbonart45.com/studio-45/. After an amazing experience of seeing his workshop we went to his house and then on for lunch.

Alastair has a passion for old motorbikes and Formula Ford’s and it was great to spend so much time with him. We headed back to Abingdon, shopped for dinner at Waitrose, and then got on with preparing the meal. It was a perfect family get together and Dave and Stuart did prawns and chicken on the barbecue. We were very late to bed but nothing is more perfect than spending time with people you love.
