It is such a blessing to be able to travel and I am so looking forward to this trip. We have so much planned, including seeing friends and family. As a South African we have to get a Visa to travel to the United Kingdom. They are not cheap and a 2 year Visa costs more than 4 times a 6 month Visa. We are planning a second trip in February next year and the 6 month Visa will cover both trips. It does mean leaving the application to ‘the last minute’ and relying on the High Commission being speedy with the request. The UK Visa requires a forest full of paperwork and most of it gets returned. All that can be done is recylce the paper. And, for some odd reason they need the same bits of paperwork for both Dave and I. Our application is done together but we cannot share the paperwork!
Blessed To Travel

I am passionate about using regional, seasonable and sustainable produce when I cook. I live in the picturesque fishing village of Gordons Bay with my husband and dogs. Dave and I visit new places on a regular basis to experience the food and culture of the area. View all posts by Tandy | Lavender and Lime
